Business English Program

  • Duration

    30 hours (including 2hours of final assessment exam + 2hours of 2 continual assessments: 1 Hour Oral Quiz + 1 Hour Written Quiz.
  • Audience

    The target audience of this course is professionals in the field of business, trade and marketing, adult learners who are preparing themselves to join the world of business, and students of business. Participants in such a course will become more fluent and confident in using the language of business and should increase their career prospects.
  • Prerequisites

    To join Business English Stage (I) a learner must pass level 10 in the general English courses.

    To join Business English Stage (II) a learner must pass level 13 in the general English courses.

  • Outcomes

    By the end of this course, Learners will show the following:

    • They will develop their reading skills and learn a lot of essential business vocabulary.
    • They will be able to deal with different business situations appropriately and with ease.
    • They will develop essential business communication skills such as making presentations, taking part in meetings, negotiating, telephoning … etc.
    • They will deal with a lot of realistic case studies that are based on realistic business problems or situations, which will give learners the opportunity to practice their speaking skills and enhance their critical thinking capabilities.
    • They will be able to write proper meeting minutes, emails, and memos.
    • They will develop listening skills as well such as listening for specific information and note taking through listening to authentic interviews with business people.

    We will be using the world’s number one business English series. Our business course is a multi-level business English course. Attendees of this course will deal with varied topics of great interest to everyone involved in the business world. These topics are authentic and the most up-to-date as they are taken mostly from the Financial Times, one of the leading sources of business information in the world.
